Directory Covers Program
Sensis publishes and distributes the White Pages® and Yellow Pages® directories on behalf of Telstra Corporation Limited.
Each year, Sensis adopts a theme for the cover of our White Pages® directories and White Pages® and Yellow Pages® co-bound directories.

For each theme, Sensis conducts its own research and consults with local community groups to identify and select Australians to feature on chosen and photographed in order to reflect the theme and convey a unique or inspirational story.

Australians are world-renowned for their community spirit, good nature and willingness to lend a helping hand when it’s needed most. These qualities are being proudly recognised by Sensis on the cover of the 2007/08 Yellow™ and White Pages® directory, which is themed ‘Champions of our Community’.
About some of our cover 'heroes'
Port Macquarie (NSW) – Norm Morgan

Norm has been actively involved with the Port Macquarie Surf Life Saving Club since 1967, having held a range of positions at the club including Secretary, President and other executive roles. Norm became a Life Member of the club in 1981 and was elected Life Governor in 2006.

Norm has been involved with every aspect of the club, from participating in active patrols and training nippers about water safety, to fundraising and coordinating events.
Along with his contribution to the Port Macquarie Surf Life Saving Club, Norm is also President of the Parents and Citizens committee and Secretary of the School Council at Port Macquarie High School.
Bathurst (Vic) – Rhonda and Stephen Doyle

Rhonda and Stephen Doyle established “Bloodwood”, the first dedicated wine growing enterprise in the Orange region in 1983. Their aim was to make outstanding quality cool climate wines which would identify Orange as a distinguished Australian wine region.

The Doyle’s commitment to tourism in the region contributed remarkable economic and employment growth with Orange now hosting over 45 wineries and 25 cellar doors across the region.
In 1991, Rhonda helped establish F.O.O.D. (Food of the Orange District), an annual festival to champion the excellence of local produce. It continues today as a thriving community project.
Both Rhonda and Stephen’s passion for promoting the areas quality produce has been a valuable contributor to putting Orange on the map as a premier food and wine tourist destination.
Launceston (TAS) – Ailsa Bond

For the past 50 years, Ailsa has promoted women living in the country, and first joined the Country Women’s Association (CWA) in 1948.
Ailsa has been heavily involved in supporting a variety of issues, including rural health, women’s health, aged care, health care for people of non-English speaking backgrounds and child care. |
In 1995, Ailsa was made a Member of the Order of Australia for her services to women. She most recently received the 2005 Australia Day Volunteer Award from the West Tamar Council.
